Additions pertaining to DIFFERENT FUTURE, the third add-on included in the season pass
▶ How to Play DIFFERENT FUTURE
Purchasing the season pass unlocks the DIFFERENT FUTURE add-on content.

• New primary and side missions
To access these new missions, you must first complete Wanderer of the Rift.

Becomes available in the mission at the start of the main game.

• New jobs and classes
Unlocked by fulfilling certain conditions within the game.
*Equipment with affinity for a new job will not drop until the job is unlocked.

- Alters boss attacks and movements for a greater challenge beyond GILGAMESH difficulty.

• More powerful special effects with Evocation and Ultima icons
Unlocked when class change is available.

• A new dragon king trial has been added

• New floors have been added to the rift labyrinth

Added Functionality:
• The smithy and equipment
- Unidentified equipment may be dismantled directly with a single button when identifying.

- Stats of base equipment may be viewed when fusing.

• Overall difficulty
- The damage limit has been increased to 999,999.

• Graphics/UI
- The number of buff and debuff icons that may display has been increased.

- A category for filtering equipment with chaos effects below a specified level has been added.

- Effect names and chaos effects may now be specified when filtering special effects.

- Additional markers other than "locked" have been added. Markers may be used as a category for filtering. Note that marked equipment will not be dismantled by auto-dismantle but may still be dismantled manually.

- "Weapons & Armor Pickup" and "Accessory Pickup" may be assigned separately in item pickup settings.

- Maximum storage capacity has been increased to 5,000.

• The rift labyrinth
- A sixth rift labyrinth effect has been added for all monster quests.

- When selecting save data, unidentified items in the unselected save data may be identified.

- Preset phrases for use in multiplayer may be customized in online settings.

• The smithy and equipment
- Higher-quality equipment may be traded for at the exchange shop. The number of treasures needed to trade will adjust according to equipment stats.

- Enemy abilities usable with the following accessories have had their trigger time reduced and power increased:
- Shadow Prayer: Thundaga, Blizzaga
- The Light of Hope: Radiant Slash
- Chimera Bracelet: Thundara
- Genji Charm: Missile
- Cray Claw Carapace: Missile
- Death Machine's Medallion: Shockwave, Hadron Jet

- Calculations for special effects that enhance the effects of abilities are now based on the battle set at the time the ability is triggered.

- The effect calculation of Holy Fang Damage+ has been changed from multiplicative to additive.

• Overall difficulty
- The challenge presented by CHAOS and BAHAMUT difficulties has been reduced.

- Stat bonuses for lower stats have been lessened.

- Break damage bonuses with critical hits may be obtained more easily even with insufficient agility. The bonus alone is now calculated based on strength or the higher of intellect or agility.

- For enemies whose HP increases based on the number of allies in your party (including other players during multiplayer), the amount of HP increased has been reduced.

- The amount of dragon treasure obtained when defeating each enemy has been increased.

- The amount of experience points and dragon treasure obtained when defeating bosses has been greatly increased.

- The job affinity bonus "Invincible" for Knight and other jobs is now affected by the dragon trial effect of "Buff Duration -X%."

• Overall actions, weapons, and attacks
- Invincibility when resurrecting from falling in battle will no longer be canceled until the resurrection animation has completed, though initiating movement during the resurrection animation will cancel the invincibility.

- Certain attacks that were difficult to land while affected by haste or other effects that increase speed have been made easier to land.

- The following adjustments have been made to all weapon types:
- When receiving an enemy attack, it is now easier to recover with soul shield, guard, etc.
- It is now possible to guard quickly after evading, rolling, or using soul shield.
- It is now possible to dash quickly after evading.

- Power and break damage for sword front, back, and side attack links have been increased.

- The following adjustments have been made to all greatsword attacks:
- Power and break damage for front, back, and enhanced guard attack links have been increased.
- An effect that draws in nearby enemies has been added to back attack links.

- Power and break damage for knuckles normal attacks have been increased.

- Power and break damage for axe front and back attack links have been increased.

• Combo abilities
- Effects from combo ability statuses referencing multiple stats have been increased. Accordingly, the benefit of multi-status combo abilities will be greater when multiple stats are raised.

- Combo abilities with weak homing effects have had their homing effects enhanced.

- Job actions for base jobs have been added to weapon abilities.

- A period of invincibility now occurs after successfully guarding with the following combo abilities:

- The following mace combo abilities have had their power and break damage reduced:
- Crimson Halo

• Command abilities
- Shield Bash:
- Reduced break gauge consumption when guarding has been lessened.
- Parrying may now only occur immediately after the ability is triggered.

- Drain:
- The area of effect has been increased.

- Chaosbringer:
- The effect duration may now be increased by consuming more MP.
- Performing a soul burst while the effect is active restores your MP limit.
- Break damage dealt while the effect is active has been increased.

- Dimension Bringer:
- The duration of effect may now be increased with additional uses.

• Jobs and job affinities
- Job actions of base jobs (including the Evocation and Ultima classes of base jobs) are now treated as combo abilities and are accordingly affected by summon blessings and other special effects.

- Rush Assault (Conqueror, Swordsman Evocation Class): Reduced break gauge consumption when guarding has been lessened.

- Upheaval (Marauder): Power and break damage has been increased. This also affects subside and rapacious strike.

- Mysidian Soul (Pilgrim, etc.): The period of invincibility with back attack links has been increased.

- Osmose (Accursed Champion, Mage Ultima Class): The prismatic magic effects for this job affinity have been adjusted as follows:
- No longer consumes MP.
- Area of effect has been increased.
- Intellect stat bonus has been added.

- Inner Instinct (Berserker, etc.): Increased MP restoration.

- Instant Ability Bonus I & II (Thief, etc.): This effect has been increased.

- Memories of a Crimson Dawn (Red Mage, etc.): The physical damage bonus has been increased.

- Bringer of Light (Paladin, etc.): HP restoration increased.

- Assassinate (Assassin): Chain canceling may be performed more quickly. This also affects requiem and exterminate.

- Final Moments (Assassin, etc.) / Shadowbreaker (Breaker, etc.): The effects of these job affinities are now preserved when changing battle sets. The level of the effect will not increase while changing battle sets, and the effect will still end when the necessary conditions are met.

- Runic (Void Knight): Increases the power and break damage. This also includes shining rune and rune drive.

- Hero's Guidance (Liberator, etc.): Adjusted as follows:
- Can now revive fallen allies.
- Hi-potions and mega-potions now benefit from the same effect.

- Luna Enchant (Lunarian, Tyrant Evocation Class) / Magitek Enchant (Magitek Knight, Tyrant Ultima Class): MP consumed when attacking with enluna and enmagic has been reduced.

- Memories of a Tyrant (Tyrant, etc.): The effect of increased MP has been increased.

- Divine Punishment (Cyclic Warrior, etc.): The duration of lightbringer has been increased.

- Memories of He Who Walks With Chaos (Cyclic Warrior, etc.) / Memories of a Wizard Who Defied Death (Sage, etc.): These effects may now be triggered by both chaos rising, a job affinity bonus of primal warriors (cyclic warrior evocation class), and memories of a fallen knight, a job affinity bonus of berserkers, etc.

- Memories of an Azure Adventurer (Blue Mage, etc.): Further increased magic damage.

- Summon (Summoner): Power and break damage for front attack links, dragon claws, dragon impulse, and dragon blade when summoning Bahamut has been increased. This also affects advanced summoning and ultima summoning.

- Ultima Summon (High Summoner, Summoner Ultima Class): Flare breath is now treated as a combo ability.

- Apothecary's Insight (Evoker, etc.) / Memories of a Wizard Who Defied Death (Sage, etc.): In addition to curing status effects, esuna and the command ability chakra now cure all debuffs, such as lowered attack power, etc.

• The rift labyrinth
- Speaking with monsters no longer pauses the game.

- Limit release job items now drop more easily from arcanium chests.

- Dragon treasure is now more easily obtainable.

• Enemies
- Enemies with ranged attacks will now use them less frequently after moving out of the camera's view.

• Graphics/UI
- Messages displaying items obtained at the end of missions now appear more quickly.

• Other adjustments
- Equipment with high affinity for knights can be obtained as dropped items in the Trials of the Dragon King main mission "Light of Possibility."

Resolved Issues:
• An issue wherein elemental damage reduction combined with certain physical or magic damage reduction special effects resulted in 100% damage reduction.

• Other various bug fixes.
