Features of the Season Pass DLC 2 Mission: Wanderer of the Rift

▶How to Play Wanderer of the Rift

Purchasing the season pass will unlock the Wanderer of the Rift DLC.

• New Primary and Side Missions
To access these new missions, you must first complete The Trials of the Dragon King.

The rift labyrinth will present you with a randomized dungeon to explore and conquer.
To access the rift labyrinth, you must first complete The Trials of the Dragon King.

*Equipment with job affinity bonuses for new jobs will not drop until the corresponding job is unlocked.

To unlock this difficulty, you must first complete The Trials of the Dragon King.
- When playing on GILGAMESH difficulty, enemy levels will be even higher than on previous difficulties. You can also acquire even more powerful items and rewards.

• Class Changing
The class change feature is now available. Choose the Evocation or Ultima class to unlock icons that grant special effects.

• Four new Trials of the Dragon King have been added.

Added Functionality:
Adjustments to the Smithy & Equipment
• Accessories now have equipment levels.
*Accessory equipment levels are not used to calculate average equipment level.

• Accessory equipment levels can now be raised at the smithy.

• Even rarer accessories can now be obtained.

• When auto-dismantle is enabled and dismantle confirmation messages are turned off, accessories are subject to being automatically dismantled.
*Because of this change, auto-dismantle confirmation is now turned on by default.

• A new feature has been added to exclude battle sets and presets when selecting multiple pieces of equipment and items to dismantle.

Adjustments to Jobs and Job Affinity
• New effects have been added that enhance the power of abilities corresponding to job affinity bonuses for basic jobs (for example, .".. Mastery" [effects that grant access to corresponding weapon abilities]).

Adjustments to Graphics, Menu Displays, Etc.
• Your current destination can now be displayed during missions.
This setting can be toggled in System Settings.

• The ability expiration notification option has been added to System Settings.
A notification will now inform you when buffs granted by abilities, etc., have worn off.

• During a mission, Jack's appearance can be changed to Astos from the Edit Party screen.
This feature will be unlocked after completing the base game.

• A copy preset feature has been added.

• When applying a preset, you can now configure characters to not apply the preset to.
This allows you to apply presets only to Jack, keeping your allies just the way you like them.

• Added several features, such as filtering, to the Battle Settings screen.

• Added various filter options to applicable screens.

• Increased storage capacity from 4,000 to 4,400.

• When playing on CHAOS difficulty or higher, the first-time clear reward that can be earned from beating a level on that difficulty will be displayed on the mission selection screen.

• The cursor will now snap to combo abilities on the Battle Settings screen.

• The cursor will now snap to categories on the job tree's master point screen.

Adjustments:
Adjustments to the Smithy & Equipment
• Job affinity enhancements in the smithy can now be increased by increments of up to 10.

• Adjusted the color of equipment weapon abilities and enemy abilities to orange.
*Only the text display color has changed, not the effects of the abilities themselves.

• Increased the effects of equipment that occupies multiple slots, and of weapons that cannot be used with shields (greatswords, katanas, knuckles, daggers, lances, and staves).

• Increased the job affinity bonuses of weapons that cannot be used with shields (greatswords, katanas, knuckles, daggers, lances, and staves).

• Equipment that can be obtained from the exchange shop with dragon treasures, etc., is now stronger.

Adjustments to Special and Other Effects
• Effects that increase critical damage (Critical Damage Dealt, etc.) no longer calculate using multipliers.

• Damage reduction special effects that would grant over 100% damage reduction now grant less damage reduction.

Adjustments to All Difficulty Settings
• Tweaked ability stat bonus formulas.
This change will ensure that damage dealt will increase as stats increase.
If a certain stat bonus is higher, the damage formula will be used instead of another stat such as strength or intelligence.

• Changed the stat that affects the accumulation of status ailments from intelligence to spirit.

• Changed the stat that reduces break damage taken when guarding or soul shielding against a magic attack from spirit to stamina.

• Reduced the break damage bonus when destroying an enemy weak spot.

• Stats are increased when an NPC's job level is 31 or higher.
This will partially make up for the fact that NPCs cannot use master points.

Weapon & Attack Adjustments
• Switching between weapon types is now smoother.

• Standard guard, evasion, and other responses for all weapons have been adjusted as follows:
- Increased recovery speed after rolling.
- Increased recovery speed after a successful standard guard.
- Chaining parries is now easier.
- Increased the speed at which you can guard while moving.
- Increased the speed at which you can switch battle sets after a guard, parry, or soul shield.
- Increased the speed at which potions can be used after certain actions, such as parries.

• Sword: Attack Adjustments
- Increased recovery speed after charged attacks, and after side and rear attack links.
- Countering after a rear attack link is now easier.

• Greatsword: Attack Adjustments
- Increased recovery speed after a forward attack link.
- Increased the speed at which normal attacks can be performed after an enhanced guard attack link.

• Katana: Attack Adjustments
- Forward attack links can now be chained into rear attack links.
- Rear attack links can now be chained into Senshin Stance.
- After using a combo ability or forward/rear attack link during Senshin Stance, you will return to Senshin Stance.

• Mace: Attack Adjustments
- Increased recovery speed after charged attacks, and after side and rear attack links.
- You can now activate a rear attack link during guard.

• Axe: Actions after attacks are now faster.

• Knuckles: Attack Adjustments
- Rear attack links can now be chained into forward attack links.
- Reduced the power of charged attacks.

• Daggers: Attack Adjustments
- Increased the duration of invulnerability when using a forward/rear/side attack link.
- Charged attacks can now be chained into forward/rear/side attack links.

• Lance: Attack Adjustments
- Forward attack links can now be chained into side/rear attack links.
- Rear attack links can now be chained into forward/side attack links.
- Left attack links can now be chained into forward/right/rear attack links.
- Right attack links can now be chained into forward/left/rear attack links.

• Staff: Forward attack links can now be chained into rear attack links.

Adjustments to Combo Abilities
• The following combo ability effect names have been changed:
- The mage ability "Mage's Mettle" and the white mage ability "Striker's Spirit" have been unified to "Resolute Mace."
- The dark knight ability "Treacherous Thrust" has been changed to "Run Through."
- The breaker ability "Will of the Sword" has been changed to "Ambitious Edge."
- The sage ability "Perfected Strike" has been changed to "Solid Strike."
*The effects of these abilities remain unchanged.

Adjustments to Command Abilities
• Increased the effect of mighty strikes.

• The following changes have been made to jubaku:
- Removed the interval between effect duration increases.
- The ability can no longer be extended indefinitely (the amount of time gained gradually decreases).

• It is now easier to transition to other abilities after using enemy abilities, such as instant abilities.

• It is now easier to transition to other abilities after using lightbringer and chaosbringer.

• Max MP no longer increases while chaosbringer is active.

Adjustments to Jobs, Job Affinities, Etc.
• Sped up the timing at which a chain cancel can be performed for the swordsman ability "Spinning Slash," the conqueror ability "Rush Assault," and the lightbreaker champion ability "Wind Shear."

• The lightbreaker champion ability "Wind Shear" will now pull enemies in more easily.

• The following changes have been made to the pugilist ability "Explosive Fist," the martial master ability "Phasing Palm," and the iron fist champion ability "Bloodpunch":
- Increased damage on consecutive hits.
- Sped up the timing at which a chain cancel can be performed.

• Increased the buff duration of the martial master ability "Phasing Palm."

• The following changes have been made to the errant champion ability "Sonic Throw":
- Increased the duration of the haste effect granted after using the ability.
- No longer stacks with the white magic spell haste or other similar ability.

• The following changes have been made to the "Invincible" job affinity bonus of the knight job, etc.:
- No longer reduces the duration of lightbringer.
- Getting hit by an enemy attack when lightbringer is activated will reduce the duration of lightbringer.

• Reduced the counter damage of the knight of destiny ability "Blessed Shield."

• The following changes have been made to the berserker, desperado, and raider:
- The protect and shell effects granted by the berserker, etc., job affinity bonus "Savage Awakening" no longer stack with white magic spells of the same name or other similar abilities.
- While berserk, fanaticism, or adrenaline are active, switching battle sets will negate their effects but not cancel the corresponding status.
*While the above job actions are active, switching a battle set will negate their effects. However, if the battle set is switched back, the effects of these job actions will be restored.

• The raider ability "Adrenaline" now also increases the effect of berserk.

• When using the thief ability "Steal," the rogue ability "Mug," or the cutpurse ability "Snatch," if multiple different abilities can be stolen, only one of these will be stolen at random.

• The duration of the samurai, etc., job affinity bonus "Power in Perseverance" has been reduced.

• Sped up the timing at which a chain cancel can be performed for the samurai ability "Meikyo-Shisui."

• The holy dragoon ability "Hyper Jump" now restores break gauge.

• The following changes have been made to the evoker, conjurer, and arcanist:
- Increased the effect of the job affinity bonuses "Soul Shield MP Bonus I" and "Soul Shield MP Bonus II."
- Increased the duration of shackle, heal, and interrupt when a spirit is summoned. Also increased the damage of blast wave.

• While HP is at max, the fixed damage dealt by the paladin ability "Holy Fang" will be buffed.

• The following changes have been made to the void knight ability "Runic," the rune knight ability "Shining Rune," and the imperial knight ability "Rune Drive":
- You can now parry immediately after activating the above job actions.
- During the above job actions, you will be granted resistance to status ailments.
- Break reduction has been increased when receiving physical damage during the above job actions.
- When performing a slash after performing the above job actions, you are more resistant to being staggered.

• Interacting with a ladder as a summoner, demonologist, or high summoner will no longer unsummon Bahamut.

• Reduced flare breath damage from the high summoner ability "Ultima Summon."

Boss Adjustments
• Increased the affinity amount raised by putting points into job affinities in the mastery abilities category ①.

Enemy Adjustments
• When a boss recovers from being broken without being soul bursted, a percentage of HP and break gauge will be recovered.

• Reduced the damage modifier of magic damage against boss weak points.

• The following enemies will now be staggered by combo abilities: Sahagin Prince, Flan Prince, Ravenous Coeurl, Aeshma

• Adjusted the actions and AI for the following bosses and enemies: Lich, Astos, Leech Bat, Ahriman, Nightmare

Adjustments to Graphics, Menu Displays, Etc.
• Reduced processing power needed for effects when visibility is lowered to its maximum, or when performance has been raised too high.

• Adjusted the color of the animation displayed when HP has been reduced to a light red.
This will make it easier for the player to determine when they have taken damage and are near death.

Other Adjustments
• Shortened boss entrance animations.

• Added a cube in front of the elevators in the Crystal Mirage and Vigilia Court.

• Adjusted respawn from the cube in The Dragon's Cave so that the player will be facing the door.

Resolved Issues:
• Fixed a bug with the summoner, etc., job affinity bonus "Trance Soul." When paired with the command ability "Sentinel," damage prevented would also recover HP.

• Fixed issues with the berserker ability "Berserk," the desperado ability "Fanaticism," the raider ability "Adrenaline," the monk ability "Focus," the master ability "Supercharge," the black belt ability "Brute Strength," the command ability "Bravery," and the job affinity bonus "Power in Perseverance" for the samurai and other jobs.
These abilities unintentionally stacked with other similar effects. In addition, they also increased the effects of abilities like blood weapon and boost magic. As such, both of these bugs have been fixed.

• Fixed a bug that caused the special effect of the samurai, etc., job affinity bonus "Power in Perseverance" to not stack with special effects like increased damage on a successful soul shield.

• Fixed a bug where the damage dealt by the breaker ability "Zantetsuken," the barbarian ability "Annihilating Light," and the warden ability "Shin-Zantetsuken" were set to version 1.10 levels.

• Other various bug fixes.
